Welcome to the ApHCC we are happy to have you weather you are just interested in the spots, own/owned an appy or maybe breed the beautiful equines. However you do not have to own a horse to be apart of the club, your memberships will help keep the club going to preserve the most universal horse.
The Appaloosa has been around for centuries. Often recognized for its coat patterns (of which there are many) they also have mottling on their muzzle/sheath/anus, scelera (white around the eye), and striped feet. They are not a new breed, cave drawings have been found of parti-colored horses. They are known for their keen intelligence, sturdiness, and stamina. The Appaloosa Horse Club of Canada began registering horses with patterns and characteristics in 1958.
